Our priorities

ACSI engages with ASX listed companies on a range of financially material issues on behalf of our members.

Corporate governance

Governance issues are financially material. ACSI engages with listed companies to promote sound governance and effective risk management, and to enhance disclosures for investor analysis.

Board diversity

Companies are likely to be most successful when they harness collective intelligence and approach problems with cognitive diversity. Company boards should be made up of directors drawing from a range of criteria, including gender, ethnicity and age, in addition to core skills and experience.

Climate change

Climate-related risks are financial, deeply embedded across the economy and a significant challenge for Australian companies and investors. We focus on the way companies are managing the risks and the opportunities of the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Corporate culture

Corporate culture has an important role in driving company performance and good outcomes for employees, customers and stakeholders. We advocate to improve culture across corporate Australia.

Workforce issues

Issues such health and safety or modern slavery are material financial risks. ACSI identifies areas for improvement and seeks to drive better risk management practices.

Responsible AI

AI is being deployed across all sectors and reshaping workforces. How companies govern their use of AI, manage emerging risks and treat their workers in the process bears directly on their reputations, competitive positioning, operational sustainability and long-term returns.
