To honour the memory of our late colleague Phil Spathis and his commitment to the principles of good corporate governance, ACSI was proud to host our fourth Phil Spathis Governance Address on Tuesday 24 September in Melbourne.
Phil was a driving force behind ACSI and his determined work and leadership built the organisation into a recognised voice on corporate governance in Australia and internationally. Phil’s contribution to ACSI and the superannuation sector was driven by a commitment to working people and he reminded us all of the great responsibility and care that must be taken by those entrusted to manage money on behalf of others.
The guest speaker was one of Australia's most distinguished and respected journalists, Kerry O'Brien, who discussed the role of public interest journalism in upholding transparency, accountability and democracy.
