If there was ever a time to consider the importance of corporate goverannce and the challenges for company directors and shareholders - then this is the year.

The failures and weaknesses of corporate governance practices within some companies has contributed to the demise of some of the world's largest corporations and although corporate governance failings were not the only cause of the global financial crisis - they have proved to be a significant factor.

Investors are increasingly recognising that they must protect and manage their investments for the long-term by taking into account environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues in companies in which they invest.

Our 8th ACSI Annual Conference will seek to draw on the lessons, experiences and strategies required for recovering growth through governance.
