ACSI's 8th Annual Conference theme drew on the lessons, experiences and strategies required for recovering growth through governance following the recent global financial crisis.
"Over 200 delegates were stimulated by a range of speakers and topics" Ann Byrne, CEO, ACSI said. "We solved the financial crisis, discussed recent research, learnt about international shareholder rights and heard from a panel of directors."
Senator the Hon. Nick Sherry, Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law also provided an update on how the Australian government intends to address governance issues moving forward and used the ACSI Conference as an opportunity to announce the details of the Review into the governance, efficiency, structure and operation of Australia's superannuation system including the membership of the Expert Panel and the Terms of Reference.
